Hotel Le Concorde Quebec is located at 1225 Cours du General de Montcalm, south of Grande Allee. The 28-storey building was built in 1974 and opened on April 1st of that same year. At the time, the building belonged to the Loews Hotel Holding Corporation.

In November 2013, the renowned Loews hotel chain announced the imminent closure of the building located on Grande Allee in Quebec City. A change in the vocation of the building was then foreseen, as a significant investor was known to have an agreement to convert the building into luxury accommodation for students.

As expected, in February of 2014, the Loews Le Concorde was officially closed. Shortly after that, the hotel was bought by Eddie Savoie for $11, 5 M. Eddy Savoie’s project of converting the imposing building in a seniors residence was then rejected by the municipal authorities. A few weeks later, a business group led by Mr. Jean-Guy Sylvain bought the hotel for $13 M. They have fully renovated the lobby in order to reopen the hotel in May 26, 2014.

Since then, Hotel Le Concorde Quebec is back in Quebec’s hotel landscape, welcoming numerous visitors in Quebec City

With the ultimate goal of always improving its customer experience, major renovations took place in Fall 2016.
